Prayer
Ministries: Prayer is one of the essential aspects of
Christianity. It is the means whereby we communicate with God. His power and
presence are available through prayer. Jesus underlined the importance of
prayer in the life of the Church when He said, "My House shall be called
a house of prayer." Besides prayer as a part of our worship services,
including our midweek CARE groups, here are two special prayer ministries of ECC: PRAYER
CHAIN—This is primarily a channel
for emergency or crisis prayer needs for the members of the ECC family. The two persons who may receive prayer
requests and then pass them on to other "links" are: Hollis Mason, 663-3584; Marj Roy, 663-6838 PRAYER WARRIORS—ECC
has four teams of prayer warriors that lift your prayer requests to the Lord
throughout the week. The prayer requests that we receive during the Sunday
morning worship services are e-mailed and mailed on Monday mornings to all
the warriors. (1 John 5:14-15) “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we
ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears
us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of
him.” (Matthew
18:19-20) “Again, I
tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it
will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come
together in my name, there am I with them.” |
